Job Summary

The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This role supports the organization by ensuring data integrity, optimizing HR technology solutions, and providing insightful reporting and analytics. The Senior Analyst partners with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes and enhance system efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of HRIS enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Maintain and audit employee data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data security.
  • Develop and deliver advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR and business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and translate business needs into system requirements and solutions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on the HRIS platform, staying current with system updates and best practices
  • Train HR and business users on system functionality and new features.
  • Lead and participate in HRIS-related projects including system migrations, module implementations, and process redesign.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HRIS issues, working with vendors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal data governance standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working in HRIS or HR Technology, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead analyst role.
  • Experience with one or more major HRIS platforms like Workday.

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

  • Strong analytical skills with experience building complex reports and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including payroll, benefits, compensation, performance management, and talent acquisition.
  • HRIS certification (e.g., Workday Pro, SHRM-CP/PHR with HRIS focus).
  • Experience with system integrations and APIs
  • Knowledge of SQL or other query languages.

Physical Requirements

This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
