CareForwardRx is a newly formed domestic joint venture designed to support and scale pharmacy and medication management services within the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and managed care ecosystem.

Objective: AnewHealth is seeking a detail-oriented and execution-driven Staff Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of CareForwardRx, a strategic joint venture. This role plays a critical part in executing the full accounting lifecycle for the joint venture, including close activities, transactional processing, partner coordination, and internal control support.

In the joint venture’s build and scale phases, the Staff Accountant will help establish reliable, repeatable accounting processes while ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in high-growth environments, values precision, and is motivated to contribute to building scalable financial infrastructure from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Close & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close.

  • Perform account reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Support internal and joint venture reporting requirements, including variance analysis and documentation.

 

Transactional Accounting & General Ledger Management

  • Execute day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in billing, payments, and account balances in coordination with operations and partner teams.

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting sub-ledgers.

        

Joint Venture Support & Internal Controls

  • Maintain organized supporting schedules for capital activity, allocations, and other JV-related transactions as directed.

  • Support partner-related accounting activities and reporting requirements in alignment with joint venture agreements.

  • Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and support external audit processes.

  • Partner with the Director of Accounting to ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

Process Improvement & Scale

  • Contribute to building scalable accounting processes and improving workflow efficiency.

  • Participate in system enhancements, ERP optimization, and workflow documentation initiatives.

  • Support ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects related to growth initiatives or operational expansion.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field required.

  • CPA preferred or actively pursuing.

 

Experience

  • 1+ years of progressive accounting experience, including industry, public accounting, or a combination of both.

  • Experience in healthcare, managed services, or partnership environments preferred but not required.

  • Experience with Workday or other modern ERP systems preferred.

  • Experience operating in fast-paced or build-stage environments is a plus.

Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate financial data and identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvements.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through, particularly in a remote or hybrid environment.

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working across systems, including managing and analyzing large volumes of data.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of deliverables from start to finish.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams, including coordination with joint venture partners and cross-functional stakeholders.

 

Schedule: This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis.] Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

Travel: Travel may be required for special organization or department events, department team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other client engagements.
