Job Description
As an Accountant, Expense, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. You’ll manage critical accounting functions related to expenses—such as preparing journal entries, performing month-end close, reconciling balance sheets, and providing meaningful financial insights across our portfolio companies.What You’ll Do
Prepare and record accounting transactions with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with internal policies and US GAAP.
Manage month-end expense accounting, including data review, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Research and resolve complex accounting or reconciliation issues independently, collaborating with cross-functional partners as needed.
Maintain accurate and organized expense records, driving consistency and best practices across the function.
Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Participate in internal audit projects, evaluate expense-related risks, and recommend practical solutions.
Stay informed on updates to accounting standards and proactively share relevant changes with the team.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of accounting experience; SaaS or multi-entity experience preferred.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas); experience with Workday or similar ERP systems preferred.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
Clear and confident communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
A collaborative approach with the flexibility to work independently when needed.
A desire to contribute to a fast-paced, growth-oriented team environment.
