We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable entry–mid level Staff Accountant to own and strengthen core accounting processes in a growing healthcare SaaS environment. As we continue scaling beyond $6M in ARR, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate revenue reporting, disciplined month-end close, and strong financial operations.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an accountant who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working directly with executive leadership. The role reports to and is mentored by the CFO, offering strong exposure to SaaS accounting and financial strategy. As the company grows, there may be opportunity to expand into a broader or more senior accounting role over time.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Billing
- Own recurring SaaS billing and one-time invoicing processes to ensure timely, accurate revenue capture
- Monitor AR aging and proactively partner with Customer Success to reduce past-due balances and improve cash flow
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain strong client relationships
- Support structured collections efforts to optimize working capital
Revenue Recognition
- Support accurate monthly revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP (ASC 606)
- Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules to ensure balance sheet accuracy
- Review customer contracts to ensure proper revenue treatment and compliance
- Prepare clear supporting documentation for revenue-related journal entries and audit readiness
Monthly Close
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations to ensure a timely and accurate month-end close
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts to maintain financial integrity
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Continuously improve close processes for efficiency and scalability
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices with accurate coding and approval workflows
- Maintain organized vendor records and payment schedules to ensure strong vendor relationships
- Reconcile AP aging and proactively resolve discrepancies
- Support timely expense reimbursement processing
Payroll
- Assist with payroll processing in coordination with HR and external provider to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and maintain proper documentation
- Support payroll reporting and regulatory compliance
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records
- Support annual audit and tax preparation processes
- Assist in documenting processes and strengthening internal controls
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of accounting experience (SaaS or recurring revenue experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP; ASC 606 knowledge preferred
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing company environment
- High level of integrity and discretion
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a healthcare or HIPAA-compliant environment
- Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business
- Familiarity with revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting
