Summary:
Highly skilled and results-oriented developer specializing in Technical Publications and Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) solutions. Proven expertise in designing, developing, and configuring robust XSLT transformations for diverse content publishing requirements. Possesses deep knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter, specifically its content management capabilities, to streamline documentation workflows, enhance content reusability, and ensure efficient delivery of accurate technical information throughout the product and service lifecycle.
Core Competencies & Key Responsibilities:
XSLT Development & Configuration:
- Expertise in creating, modifying, and optimizing complex XSLT stylesheets to transform structured content (e.g., XML, DITA) into various output formats, including HTML, PDF (via XSL-FO), RTF, and other XML schemas.
- Proficient in XPath for efficient navigation and selection of XML nodes within transformations.
Experience in developing and maintaining XSLT-driven publishing pipelines for automated content generation and multi-channel delivery.
- Skilled in debugging, performance tuning, and ensuring the integrity and adherence to standards of XSLT transformations.
Teamcenter Content Management:
- In-depth knowledge of configuring and managing technical publications content within Siemens Teamcenter, including items, datasets, revisions, and associated metadata structures.
- Experience in implementing and customizing Teamcenter workflows for content creation, review, approval, and release processes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Strong understanding of Teamcenter's data model principles as they apply to structured and unstructured content, facilitating effective content organization and retrieval.
- Familiarity with integrating Teamcenter with various authoring tools (e.g., XML editors, DITA tools) and publishing engines to create seamless content flows.
- Leverages Teamcenter capabilities for content reuse, version control, configuration management, and change management within a technical publication’s context.
Technical Publications & SLM Methodologies:
- Solid understanding of technical documentation standards, such as DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) and S1000D, and best practices for structured content authoring.
- Knowledge of Service Lifecycle Management concepts and how accurate, timely technical information supports efficient service operations, maintenance, and training.
- Experience with single-source publishing and content reuse strategies to maximize efficiency and consistency across documentation sets.
System Integration & Automation:
- Ability to integrate XSLT-based solutions with broader enterprise systems, PLM platforms, and content delivery portals.
- Experience in automating content transformation and delivery processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Technical Proficiencies:
XML Technologies: XSLT, XPath, XSL-FO, DTD, XML Schema, DITA
PLM/SLM Systems: Siemens Teamcenter (Content Management, Technical Publications Module, Active Workspace)
Publishing Tools: Experience with various publishing engines that consume XML/XSL-FO.
Version Control: Git, SVN, or similar.
Operating Systems: Windows, Linux.
Programming/Scripting (Beneficial): Java, Python, or JavaScript for extending capabilities or scripting automation.
