Training & Learning Systems Manager (Trainual Platform Lead)
Position Summary
The Training & Learning Systems Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving the company’s Trainual platform and training ecosystem. This role owns the creation, organization, and maintenance of all onboarding, compliance, and role-specific trainings, and serves as a primary trainer for new hires. The ideal candidate is both a systems thinker and a strong facilitator who can translate real-world workflows into clear, engaging, and practical training experiences.
This role plays a critical part in staff readiness, consistency of care, regulatory compliance, and long-term workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
Trainual Platform Development & Management
- Own the overall structure, organization, and usability of the Trainual platform
- Build and maintain onboarding paths, role-specific learning tracks, and competency-based modules
- Create and update training content including written SOPs, slides, videos, audio scripts, quizzes, and downloadable resources
- Ensure trainings reflect current company policies, clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Regularly audit and update content to prevent outdated or inaccurate material
- Manage version control and document change history
Training Design & Instructional Development
- Translate real operational and clinical workflows into clear, practical, and accessible training materials
- Collaborate with leadership, clinical staff, and operations to capture accurate role expectations and procedures
- Design trainings that support different learning styles and staff experience levels
- Develop assessments, competency checklists, and sign-offs to support accountability and skill validation
New Hire Training & Facilitation
- Serve as a trainer for new hires during onboarding and role-specific training phases
- Facilitate live or hybrid training sessions as needed
- Support new staff in navigating Trainual and understanding expectations
- Provide feedback to leadership on training gaps, staff readiness, and onboarding effectiveness
Ongoing Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor training completion, engagement, and comprehension
- Identify trends, gaps, or recurring questions and update trainings accordingly
- Support rollout of new programs, services, or policies with updated training modules
- Partner with leadership on continuous quality improvement initiatives related to training and staff development
Qualifications
- Experience building or managing training programs, learning management systems, or structured onboarding processes
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, step-by-step guidance
- Comfort facilitating trainings and speaking to groups
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and leadership teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred
- Experience with Trainual or similar LMS platforms
- Background in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services
- Experience developing SOPs, competency-based training, or compliance-related education
- Familiarity with adult learning principles or instructional design
