Position: Website Developer (3-Month Contract, Remote)
Location: Remote
Work Hours: 14:00 – 22:00 AEST
Role Type: Fixed-Term Contract (3 Months)
Reports To: Manager
Salary: R20, 000 per month (non-negotiable)

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Website Developer to build a brand-new website from concept to completion within a 3-month contract period. The successful candidate will be responsible for full website development, including design, backend setup, content migration, integrations, testing, and final handover.
  • The website must be fully functional, optimised, and ready for client use by the end of the contract term.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop the website from scratch, including layout, design, structure, and functionality.
  • Ensure the website is user-friendly, responsive, and compatible across browsers and devices.
  • Incorporate branding, graphics, and multimedia elements in line with business requirements.
  • Set up website framework and backend infrastructure.
  • Manage migration of content, data, and functionality from existing site(s), if applicable.
  • Integrate required third-party tools, plugins, and applications.
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure performance, security, usability, and speed optimisation.
  • Implement updates, fixes, and improvements throughout the contract period.
  • Set up administrative access, user permissions, and security controls.
  • Document processes, workflows, and technical details for client reference.
  • Conduct a final handover session and transfer all credentials and documentation to the client upon completion.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in website development and full-site builds.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Shopify, custom CMS platforms, or relevant frameworks.
  • Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Backend development knowledge (PHP, MySQL, or similar technologies).
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and responsive design.
  • Experience with system integrations and content migration.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict project deadlines.
