Accountant

Remote I South Africa 
Position : Accountant

Working Schedule : 9AM - 5PM EST

Salary Range : $1800 - $2200 USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an exceptional Accountant to join our team. You must have knowledge of NetSuite and be extremely proficient. You will be responsible for performing general bookkeeping and accounting, organizing and preparing monthly and annual financial statements, and other miscellaneous finance and administration tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct general bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and tracking expenses.
• Utilize knowledge of depreciation models and accounting principles to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with financial audits and prepare necessary documentation as required.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping with strong understanding of main business processes as they relate to accounting workflows and principles: Procure to Pay; Order to Cash; Inventory; Payroll; Sales Tax; Cost of Goods Sold; Chart of Accounts; Reporting and Dashboards
• 3+ years of experience and proficiency in NetSuite required
• Strong understanding of general bookkeeping, depreciation models, reconciliation, and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• US GAAP experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in data analysis and performing cost-benefit analysis is a plus
