Job Summary:
The Director of FP&A will lead the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions across the organization. This role is responsible for delivering actionable insights to executive leadership, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring financial discipline and transparency in a public company environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning, Financing & Forecasting

    • Work with the CFO regarding M&A and capital markets/bank financings.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning.
    • Partner with business units to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
    • Develop financial models to support scenario planning and investment decisions.

 

Financial Analysis & Reporting

    • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to senior leadership.
    • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis.
    • Support earnings preparation and investor relations with financial data and narratives.

 

Business Partnership

    • Collaborate with department heads to drive financial accountability and performance.
    • Provide financial guidance on key initiatives, capital investments, and cost optimization.

 

Process Improvement & Systems

    • Enhance FP&A tools, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
    • Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis.

 

Team Leadership

    • Manage and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and analytical rigor.

 

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

·       10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

·       Experience in a publicly traded company, including exposure to SEC reporting and investor relations.

·       Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.

·       Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan) and Excel.

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

·       Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

 

Physical Demands 

The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment, a manufacturing floor and a construction site.   Noise level: Normal office, manufacturing and construction noises.
