We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team based in Huntingdon. This role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate processing, timely reporting, and effective financial administration. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or continue a career in finance within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records
- Support month-end processes, including journals and reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Respond to internal and external finance queries
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
- Support the internal HR team with ad-hoc administrative tasks
About You
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- AAT qualification or working towards one is advantageous but not essential
