Job Summary

Portside Leaseworks is a Salesforce-based mission-critical enterprise software platform for aircraft lessors, used to manage aircraft and engine leasing contracts, generate complex invoices, and support highly regulated financial workflows.

We are looking for a Product Manager who can run the show for this product. This is not a roadmap-only or UX-focused PM role. You will own the product end-to-end: deeply understanding how it works today, working directly with customers, translating real-world leasing and billing requirements into precise engineering tasks, and partnering closely with engineering to ship reliable, scalable functionality on the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Product End-to-End

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Leaseworks product, data model, and workflows
  • Act as the primary product owner for a complex, domain-heavy enterprise application
  • Own backlog prioritization, scope definition, and release planning

Work Deeply with Customers

  • Lead customer discovery and requirements discussions with aircraft lessors
  • Understand real-world leasing, billing, and invoicing workflows (including edge cases)
  • Translate customer needs into clear, structured, engineer-ready specifications
  • Balance customer requests with platform constraints and long-term product integrity

Partner Closely with Engineering

  • Write detailed product requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Break features into well-defined engineering tasks across data model, logic, UI, and integrations
  • Make informed tradeoffs between Salesforce configuration vs custom code
  • Ensure solutions respect Salesforce platform constraints (governor limits, security, packaging, upgradeability)

Ensure Financial Accuracy & Enterprise Quality

  • Own correctness and auditability of financial workflows (e.g., invoices, calculations, reporting)
  • Anticipate downstream impacts to reporting, billing, and customer operations
  • Help maintain a stable, scalable product in a highly customized enterprise environment

Qualifications

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or solution architecture for enterprise software
  • Strong hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform, including:
    • Objects and data modeling
    • Flows and automation
    • Security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing)
    • Managed packages / enterprise deployments
  • Experience building or managing financial, billing, or contract-driven systems
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers

Domain & Analytical Skills

  • Comfort with financial concepts such as invoicing, proration, schedules, and multi-currency
  • Strong systems thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to reason about complex workflows and data dependencies

Collaboration & Ownership

  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of a product area
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Credibility with engineers and comfort pushing back when requirements conflict with platform or data integrity

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience in aircraft leasing, equipment leasing, or asset finance
  • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform App Builder, or similar)
  • Background as a Salesforce consultant or solution architect

Who This Role is Not For

  • PMs without hands-on Salesforce platform experience
  • PMs focused primarily on growth, UX, or consumer products
  • Candidates uncomfortable with financial systems or detailed requirements
  • People who prefer to delegate technical understanding entirely to engineering

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary
  • Fully remote work
  • Generous time off policy
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • Dynamic, collaborative, and fast-growing work environment.
