As CHAPTR continues to grow, so do our HR needs.  We are looking for a tech-positive Senior HR Business Partner who is ready to take ownership of our future People & Culture strategy. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary contact for all HR operations, bridging the gap between strategic development and day-to-day excellence. You will not only manage traditional HR processes but also leverage AI to support talent, career, and recruitment management, ensuring our HR function is as innovative as the products we build. Reporting directly to our founders, you will be the heart and soul of our team's growth and wellbeing.

  • End-to-End Recruiting: Take ownership of the full recruiting cycle, from briefing and posting to candidate communication and scheduling using tools like Softgarden.

  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Design and manage a structured journey for every team member, ensuring a seamless start and respectful exit.

  • International Staffing & EOR: Manage external staff and international contracts via Employer of Record (EOR) platforms such as WorkMotion.

  • HR Administration & Tools: Oversee process and data maintenance, reporting, and role access within our HR tool landscape, including SAP SuccessFactors.

  • Payroll & Contracts: Ensure accurate contract creation and provide oversight for payroll processes in collaboration with our Finance and Legal partners.

  • People & Culture: Drive initiatives around employer branding, wellbeing, retention, and DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion).

  • Learning & Development: Coordinate training opportunities and career planning, including leveraging the Holtzbrinck Campus for team growth.

  • Performance & Feedback: Facilitate structured feedback processes and support the development of modern bonus and performance systems.

  • AI Integration: Actively utilize and implement AI technology within your HR workflows to increase efficiency and innovation.

  • Collaboration: Work with the existing HR team and the operations manager to provide a smooth transition of HR ownership whilst establishing new processes and maintaining continuity.

  • Experience: Proven senior-level experience in HR Management, ideally within a fast-paced tech startup or a similar dynamic environment.

  • International Expertise: Deep understanding of international HR matters and hands-on experience working with Employer of Record (EOR) models.

  • Remote Work Champion: Strong background in managing HR for remote-first organizations, with knowledge of the legal and cultural aspects of working across Germany and the EU.

  • AI & Tech Affinity: A "tech-positive" mindset with experience leveraging AI tools to optimize talent and recruitment management.

  • Problem Solver: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to create clarity in an ambiguous, fast-growing environment.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.

  • Solid understanding of German HR-related legal frameworks.

  • Strategic Sparring Partner: Ability to act as a strategic partner for culture, processes, and people development.

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or Softgarden.

  • A genuine fascination for the latest developments in Generative AI.
