About the Role

The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This position is responsible for executing core accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end close activities. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure financial data is timely, accurate, and well-organized as the company continues to grow.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys transactional accounting, building strong fundamentals, and contributing to a well-run finance function.


What You’ll Own

·       Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable

·       Process and review employee travel & expense reports, ensuring policy compliance

·       Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger

·       Perform monthly account reconciliations (bank, credit cards, accruals, prepaid expenses, etc.)

·       Support month-end and year-end close processes

·       Assist with payroll preparation and coordination with external providers

·       Maintain accurate documentation and support audit and CPA requests

·       Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and organized

·       Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency

·       Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis as needed

 

About You

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

·       2–4 years of accounting experience (corporate or public accounting experience a plus)

·       Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)

·       Strong Excel skills and comfort working with detailed data

·       High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

·       Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

·       Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential information

·       Prior experience working in a SaaS environment is highly desired
