What You'll Do

The Bookkeeper supports the US Accounting team with data entry, transaction processing, and ledger updates. This remote role requires accuracy, attention to detail, strong bookkeeping skills, and a high level of integrity. Reporting to the Country Financial Controller, the Bookkeeper plays a key role in maintaining precise financial records.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Perform data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Allocate cash payments to sales transactions
  • Reconcile discrepancies or errors identified and communicate accordingly
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained for bank reconciliation
  • Process bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Provide support for financial reporting and analysis as needed
  • Adhere to the company’s financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare monthly financial analysis and reconciliation files
  • Provide administrative support to accounting functions
  • Process daily customer refunds upon verification of stock returns and communicate issue resolutions with the customer service team
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations

 

What You'll Have

  • Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Xero Certification) a plus
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP is advantageous
  • Experience with payroll processing and bookkeeping for multiple entities is advantageous
  • Proficient in accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
  • Professional, ethical, and collaborative approach
