Job Title: Vice President of Finance
Location:  Remote (with the expectation of future relocation to one of our main hubs: WA, FL, or CO. Relocation assistance available when the time comes) 

Compensation: $180k - $200k D.O.E (base + bonus, aligned with experience)

Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus

About the Role

As Vice President of Finance, you will partner directly with the CFO to oversee FP&A, Controllership, and Business Unit Finance across a multi-site, service-based enterprise. You’ll own financial planning, reporting, and compliance, while building the infrastructure that ensures sustainable growth and operational discipline.


The ideal candidate is process-driven and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance strategic foresight and hands-on execution. You’ll mentor finance leaders, instill accountability across teams, and provide insight-rich analysis to guide decision-making for executive leadership, the Board, and private equity stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Ensure P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy; GAAP compliance; monthly/quarterly close discipline
  • Drive EBITDA growth and working capital improvements through cost management and capital discipline
  • Develop financial infrastructure: systems, dashboards, KPIs, and internal controls
  • Deliver insightful reporting packages for the CFO, CEO, Board, and private equity sponsors
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, and Service to align financial strategy with business outcomes
  • Manage banking, lender, and audit relationships, ensuring compliance and readiness
  • Lead M&A diligence, modeling, and integration planning
  • Mentor and develop finance leaders, fostering a culture of accountability and performance


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership (FP&A, controllership, or corporate finance)
  • Mandatory: Proven experience in a private equity–backed organization or in a high-growth startup environment 
  • Proven track record managing multi-site operations and complex P&Ls
  • Demonstrated success improving EBITDA, cash flow, and reporting accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and KPI development
  • Executive-level communication skills; experience with Board and investor reporting
  • Proficiency with ERP and BI systems (Infor Syteline, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills with focus on structure, precision, and deadlines
  •  Ability to work remotely with the flexibility and commitment to relocate in the future to one of our main hubs (WA, FL, or CO); relocation assistance will be provided. 

Desired Skills

  • Industry Experience in Marine, Power Generation, Defense, or Industrial/Manufacturing Services  
  • MBA or CPA
  • Hands-on exposure to M&A, integration, and financial transformation
  • Familiarity with project accounting, ASC 606, or defense contracting compliance
